Magic Items--Blue
Rare Items--yellow
Unique Items--Gold
Set Items--Green
Socketed---Grey
Etereal Items--item itself is translucent and writing
Regular items---White

all i know is that gold ones are unique items....gold & woody-like colored items are elite uniques (mostly given by Baal).
If it is ethereal (grey coloured items), these are items that can't be repaired and will soon be unable to use.
blue ones are magical items.
green ones are set items (meaning you have to complete all the required items if you want to have the bonuses the set supposes to give)
white ones are regular items.
