Hello...
I'm afraid that what news I have for you isn't what you want to hear. That video card is way out-of-date by today's standards and isn't capable of running OpenGL in any form.
As far as boosting that video card's performance, you somewhat out of luck there, too. Video cards of that age don't qualify for the overclocking tools of today's cards. The Trident series cards basically don't allow for much performance to begin with as they are designed simply to free up the system memory that is used by onboard video, not to actually accelerate the graphics all that much.
My suggestion to you is to upgrade your video card. You can get decent video cards (32MB, 64MB or even 128MB) for very reasonable costs whether it be PCI or AGP graphics. I recently picked up a 256MB Nvidia FX5200 AGP 8x video card for $50 including shipping brand new from www.geeks.com and it has pretty decent performance. You can also try shopping at www.newegg.com for some good deals. Just make sure that the card you are looking at has good reviews and supports both DirectX and OpenGL.
I hope this helps. Sorry I didn't have better news.
Happy Computing!
