Could you tell whether a person is legal or not just by looking at them? Why?

Update:

Well besides the answers I was looking for I sure got more than I was expecting. Some got the drift, others showed their true colors. Thanks for showing your ignorance! You know who you are. This is proof that those are real egg heads!

I am truly hoping that you are kidding with this question due to its absurdity. I'm not sure why you would think you can tell a person's legal status just by looking at them. To answer your question, though: No, you cannot tell a person's legal status just by looking at them. At the time you are born in the United States or naturalized, you are not given some time of marking to claim your citizenship. Therefore, judging someone based on their looks, FOR ANY REASON, is wrong and ignorant.

I wouldn't be able to tell nor would I point at someone and call them illegal. We have many races here but people are ignorant and assume that one race makes up illegals, yup mexicans. That is ignorant. Unless you are an employer and ask for proof, then you won't know, would you. People need to get thier anti-illegal crap in line before they make accusations, i like all races and i don't care if they are legal or illegal, if one person does something wrong then i judge individually and don't generalize. Thanks for letting me vent.

No, you ask them when they apply for licenses, services and other functions, you ask them at traffice stops, playing loud music, randomly knocking door to door, you report anyone that you SUSPECT is illegal, not that you have to know for sure by ICE rules, you have them deported and take away anything they have just before they go that they did or made in America. Like Haleton, you have ALL residents apply for tenant permits to prove citizenship, and when you go to vote or they get hired.

There are alot more things that we can do that are to come until every last one is in deported.

No. An illegal immigrant could be from anywhere. Most from other countries don't cause the USA the problems the illegal Hispanics cause. THEY are the ignorant, lazy, greedy, self-rightous, demanding, freeloaders that need to be DEPORTED ASAP!!

Here in Florida, absolutely. If they are Mexican and on a job site, they're illegal. It never fails. If you doubt me, walk up to a job site and yell "Immigration!" They will make doors in every wall. There's over 12 million of them. Of course he's illegal. He's wearing a hard hat, speaking Spanish, and hanging out with about seven other Mexicans. It never fails.

Only if you're wearing an ICE jacket. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). The illegals tend to run away.

Look into my eyes and what do you see? Legal? Illegal?

    Your question is very vague.

Remember Jeffrey the serial killer? he was such a good looking guy!

Because it isn't a matter of race or a particular culture. It is a status crime. You can't tell status by looking.

    no

whether you are legal or not doesn't depend on how you look, it depends on either being a natural citizen, or going through the process to become one, or having authority to be here legally

(i.e....there is no "tattoo" or anything that 'legals' have to clarify them as 'legal')
