Tired of it?

Who else here is tired of people asking racist questions and then claiming " I'm not racist"?

Do people not understand that when you make a negative generalization about another race that it comes off as racist? Do people not understand that there is a way to ask a question WITHOUT coming off as offensive?

Just because you talk to someone of a different color doesn't mean that you are not racist. When you generalize another race and then act according to that generalization, you're be ignorant & racist.

I know that there are going to be some ignorant answers and to those people I'm saying first off " f*ck off".

To the people that answer seriously I will be happy to read your response and give Best Answer accordingly.

Update:

For Jennifer M. here's how to ask a question without being offensive. The main thing behind that is to let people know why you are asking what you ask and recognize that it's not just one race.

Here's an example from some one's actual question:

Why does it seems that all the black people I am around are loud? INSTEAD OF: Why are blacks so loud?

This way you have made a generalization of the whole race;just the ones YOU come in contact with.

If you give people a reason as to why you are asking the question it doesn't come off as offensive. At least not for me.

Update 2:

I meant to put haven't made a generalization of the whole race; just the ones you come in contact with.

sorry.

I agree with you and I think it works both ways. People are afraid to talk to and about other races because they don't know what to say or how to say it. However, the only way to break down these stereotypes and generalizations is for every one to recognize there can be no understand until we can have open and honest communication. I don't mean that we should have free license to insult and attack each other, but pretending that only one side can be racist is unfair and inaccurate. There is much racial tension between ALL races and it won't end until people take the time and energy to honestly talk about what usually just amounts to natural curiosity about the other side. Anything else is just fuel for the fire.

I just logged on so I am not sure specifically what you are talking about, but you are telling us that there is a way to ask a question without sounding racist, correct? Why don't you give an example so we can.

Racist people are ignorant. Plain and simple.
