Is it rude to scratch your ear in public?

Question

Ok, so I know it's not nice to pick your nose, scratch your butt, or adjust your private parts in public, but if your ear is really itchy, is it ok to stick your finger in and relieve it?

For those inclined to be smarty pants and suggest using a cotton bud, remember I'm asking about doing this in public, where cotton buds are not readily available.

I hope not, since I have had to do it before. I think that it probably depends on how you do it. I never just stick my finger all the way in and "go to town." I just sort of politely do it from the outside, and I do it rather quickly.

Well, you have to take into account that it kind of looks silly. I'm sure that there are people who will think it crude. With that in mind, you'll just have to decide what is more important to you. Relieving the itch or appearances.

I think you can if you do it in a ladylike manner. It's hard not to scratch it when it itches and the ear isn't in a private place. I'd say, go for it.

Firstly try to avoid it as it is a concern of discipline.If it is itching a lot out of your control go head because you can't stop youself

It's not attractive or advisable but it's not the same level of ewww.  I think it's ok in your car or whatever but not where you want to make any kind of impression.

THE RULE SAYS TO " NEVER STICK THINGS INSIDE OF YOUR EAR " AND PERHAPS THE FINGER IS BEING CONSIDERED AS ' A THING '. LET US NOT FORGET , ALSO ,THE MORONIC EXPRESSIONS PEOPLE MAKE WHEN THEY DIG INTO THEIR EAR CANAL. TRUTHFULLY , IT ALSO LOOKS PRETTY SICK AS WELL. SO TO RECAP...AND MAKE EVERYBODY ( INCLUDING YOU EAR ) HAPPY...I'D LIKE TO SUGGEST YOU SIMPLE RUB THE AREA BRISKLY...BUT BRIEFLY. I think it is okay if you do it quick and very quickly dispose of anything that comes out of your ear.
