Where can I buy Hawaiian-style shaved ice in San Diego, California?
Can anyone give me an address for a place in SD that sells shaved ice? All of the places I've tried so far have only the really coarsely ground stuff. Thanks!

There is a place in Encinitas called Kiliannies, I spelled it wrong, but its a Hawaiian resturant. They have it with the ice cream on the bottom. Its down on D Street by the beach.

Yeah, the place in Encinitas has authentic Hawaiian shaved ice. The ice cream on the bottom was a nice touch. By the way, next door is Manhattan Pizza. They make the biggest pizza you've ever seen. One slice, 2.50, is a meal for most folks.

SUNSET ICE SHACK is in Tierrasanta - 10480 Clairemont Mese Bl -- Just off the I-15 in the Vons Shopping Center. If you are looking for Shaved Ice and a GREAT experience, this is the best place in San Diego!

You can go to belmont park and buy a huge one for 5 bucks. I think they might sell them at gulls games at the sports arena

look in the yellow pages or call ABBEY'S party rental they either might have one or can tell you who duz....
