  • Where is the best dealer to get a Subaru serviced at in Southern California?

Hi, I have a 2009 Subaru Forester that's due for scheduled maintenance. I was very displeased with the service I received from Bob Baker Subaru in Carlsbad and Kearny Mesa Subaru but want to go to a Subaru dealer for service so I don't void my warranty. Does anyone have a Subaru dealer that they can recommend for good service? I am willing to drive as far north as Los Angeles. Thank you!

  • How should I use polypropylene baby bottles before throwing them out?

Hi, I have been using polypropylene (BPA-free) bottles to feed my son since he was born. I use each bottle once per day and steam-sterilize them in the microwave after each use. I was wondering, how long is it safe to keep re-using the same bottles? Should I throw them out? They are starting to look a bit cloudy after frequent use. I was wondering, is there any reliable source that can tell me how long/how many times I should use a polypropylene bottle before throwing it out?

  • How can I find a nanny in San Diego?

I want to find a bilingual English/Spanish speaking nanny for my 4-month old, but I don't want to go through an agency (referrals are expensive!) to find one. I tried craigslist and got no hits, some success with the newspaper classifieds. I want to find a more mature lady (40+). How can I find my perfect nanny?

  • Unused discount or promo code for Apple?

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had an unused promo code for apple.com (e.g., $30 off a purchase of $300 or more, etc.). I heard that they send you a promo code if you've made a recent purchase and agree to take a survey. If anyone has an unused promo code that they weren't planning to use, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with me. Thank you!

  • Renting question: does this sound reasonable?

    Hi,

My husband and I are thinking of renting a townhouse, but the rental terms are a bit stricter than I'm used to. The landlord is requiring the first and last month's rent ($1600 each) up front, as well as an ADDITIONAL security deposit of $1600 up front for cleaning. He will also assess us a $1200 fee if we stay for less than a year.

Does this sound reasonable to you? Would you rent this place? All of the apartments and condos I've ever rented only required the first and last month's rent, with no additional security deposit or lease termination fee. Thanks for your opinion!

  • Robotech action figure - please help!?

Hello! My husband was a big fan of Robotech, growing up, and he asked me for a Robotech action figure for his birthday. Problem is, there are so many out there by different manufacturers that I have no idea where to buy the particular one he wants. He just showed me a picture of the one he wants:

    http://www.robotech.com/gallery/galimage/viewgalim...

    http://www.robotech.com/gallery/galimage/viewgalim...

It is a "Macross super poseable VF-1J Hikaru", and it was shown at Comic-Con 2001.

I would appreciate any help in finding where to buy this action figure. Thanks!

  • Voltron help?

I want to buy a die cast Voltron for my husband for his birthday since he always talks about the die cast Voltron that he used to own, and about how much he misses it. The only problem is, there are a bunch of different versions of Voltron out there. Can anybody please help me identify which is the correct Voltron? I know I could ask my husband, but I don't want to ruin the surprise. He was born in 1975, so the correct version should have been released sometime in the early 1980s. I think it might be Voltron I or III by Matchbox, but am not sure. All I know is that it was die cast. Help please! Thank you!

  • What's it like living in Ramona, CA?

My husband and I are considering moving to the San Diego Country Estates area of Ramona. If anyone here lives in Ramona, I'd appreciate any feedback on how you feel about living there. How is the commute on the 67? Have you had any problems with the HOA? Anything else you think would be useful for me to know about living in Ramona? Thanks!

  • Foreign movie about dares?

I saw a preview for a foreign flick about a brother and a sister that have some kind of object (I don't remember what it was), and whoever has the object has to do whatever the other one dares them to. The dares keep escalating as they get older. In the end shot of the preview, the sister rolls the object to her brother in the middle of his wedding.

Can anyone help me with the title of this film? I want to add it to my Netflix queue. Thanks!
