How do u choose who not 2 nvite 2 a housewarming party? Saying Adults only, when most of ur guests have kids?
My friend ended up only inviting her husbands family w/o kids. Her Mom suggested not to invite her side since if they got the invite with no kids they would be offended.....How do you fix that?

they should not be offened that their kids are not invited, sometimes parents need to be around adults. What I do when I send out my invitations I write on them FOR THE GROWN AND SEXY ONLY. this always work, so while u r telling them that is only for the grown not their kids u r also complementing them. lol works everytime

It's fine to have on the invitation "Adults Only". If they want to come, they can find a sitter or someone to watch their children. Call everyone you plan on inviting and talk to them about why you are having a no-kids party. I'm sure they will understand. This isn't a situation where you are asking people to travel far, it's neighbors and friends and family that live close. If the people get offended, then it's their loss.
Speaking as a parent, most of us relish the time without them in tow. Many will jump at the excuse to have time out as adults without the kids to worry about.

On the invitation say adults only, if they want to attend they will find a babysitter.

Why don't you rent one of those "inflatable" jumping structures and put the kids in the back?
