How much do you get paid for your job weekly after taxes and how many hrs. do work a week?

I work 40 hrs a week and make about 500 a week after taxes.

I get paid by the hour and paycheck depends on hours worked, I am an independant contractor so they don't deduct any taxes... My check comes in monthly -- normally I put in 140 hours/month. I don't think you need to know how much I make.... but it is over $10K per month.

After taxes every week I bring home about $600.00 and I only work 40 hrs...

Thats rude to ask someone what their salary is. I learned that the hard way at work by getting upset over the pay difference and it was the same job title.

Self Employed here so no payroll..I get whats left after I pay out all my expenses.
