why is my a/c ice cold at first and then gets not so cold after i drive awhile?

sometimes after i drive awhile it has mist coming out or the vent

    Your evaporator in you cars AC system is freezing up as it gets more frozen your the fan cant blow threw it your evaporator may be low or it is plugged up

    check your vents at the bottom of your windshield and under the hood. sounds like your condensate drain may also be clogged. With your car parked and the ac on, after a few minutes you should see water dripping from around your right front tire.

    Sounds like it's low on refrigerant. Add 12 oz of refrigerant. A little oil wouldn't hurt. Good luck.

    Maybe the cooling fan for the A/C isn't working. Get that checked. When A/C can't cool off outside the vehicle, it can't cool you off inside the vehicle.

    There may be a vacuum hose leaking somewhere
