DIY Wedding Program - Crane Templates?
We purchased the Crane Ecruwhite DIY wedding program kit and downloaded the Word "templates" that come with it. They come with no instruction, our printer won't print them correctly, and now we're being told by Kinko's that we need to buy a NEW printer -- so much for saving money. Please help -- do you have the secret to make our HP printer print the 7.25"x10.5" programs?
More specifically, it will only print one half of the page. Printing one full piece of paper makes two pages of the program (the paper folds in half) -- but the printer will only print the right-hand side.

Please do not purchase another printer! you dont need it! when I was making my own wedding invitations the same thing happened to me. the wording was only printed on the left side. I finally figured out that the templates that came with the invitations was wrong! they didn't work for me. so this is what i did:
I went to uprint.com, the wedding section. I found the invitations that I bought, clicked on "view this product" and chose the "print online now" option. Once there I was able to word the invitation extactly how i wanted it and with the font i wanted too. I printed a sample and it was off again, but the great thing is the program online will ask you if it printed right. Choose no and it will tell you exactly what to do.
TRY IT! and good luck. Please ask me any questions or let me know if you need any further assistance

If you're using microsoft word, you can set-up a table that will let you divide the page in half. Go to file, page set-up and select either portrait or landscape. Then fix your page margins. After that, go to table, insert table. Select three columns, 1 row. Make your second colum pretty small to use as the spacer between the two rows. Type your stuff in the first column, get all your spacing right (vertically and horizontally). Then copy and paste to the third column. Print on regular paper, place it under your blank program, hold it up to the light and make sure it is going to look the way you want it to. (Be sure to save your file before printing). Make any adjustments then and you should be ready to roll!

Most people print them out and cut them to the size need. I am guessing you bought the paper that size?
Have you tried a cheaper copier place like Staples or Office Max and see how much they would charge to print them for you?
Also can you adjust your printer to do a custom size??
Also try calling the company DIY and see if they can help you! It should have had directions on how to print it.

Did you change the paper size? File->page set up -> then change the margins. If you add details about what is specifically is the problem, I'll try to help.
Ok- here is what I would do. If it is in Word change the margins on the page so that it can only print on the half you want.
good luck!
