they should not be allowed benefits, free houses or free health care until they are working and THEY are paying taxes to put money into the system that they are sponging out of.. actually i say SEND THEM BACK! sucking our countries money up they are gonna bring down the system that weve all worked hard to building, the system will fail after the pressure..plus they are ruining our english heritage, example changin our good old british pubs into stinky curry restaurants! they are take over our culture. however as some of the answers priar to mine have stated, our country is the last chance of freedom and a good life, from countires that are run by tyrants etc. i believe some should be allowed in, however the standards they must meet first must be met, i dont think asylum seekers who are just here for the free benenifits etc should NOT be allowed in, and also the ones that commit crime over here, and steal things, any asylum seekers that break the law should be sent back to their own country. and those that are simply coming here to get away from their war struck countries, or escaping being cruelly murdered, basically cause they spoke against their countries cruel way of doing things are welcome... stricter measures should be taken out to ensure the ones that want to come live here are here as a last resort, and not here for the money

Personally I say we open the borders, this country was founded on Asylum Seekers and imagrants. We are a mongral nation and instead of resenting that we should be proud. it is what made britian great and what will make us great again.
Take the english language, it is a beutiful thing! but by gum it is the most mongral tounge on the planet. There is roman infulance, fench, german, celt, etc etc. and that hasnt changed, it has evolved over time and new words have entered it in recent decades, pukka for example and the words have gained new meaning from other countries, such as Wicked and Tart.
The fact our country is mongral means we should be able to accept new people and new ideas and not be afraid our ancestors were not xenaphobes, why than our we? (not everyone, i for certain am not) Our ancestors embraced the differnt and learnt from them, why cant we?
Let Asylum Seekers in and make the Uk great again!

Asylum Seekers, Refugees, Eastern Europeans cannot win, if they work they are taking our jobs, if they don't they have come here to sponge off the state, it's a no win situation.
Personally I believe they should do what they do with eastern Europeans, they are not permitted to claim benefits when they arrive here, they have to find work and provide for themselves.
I don't think it should just apply to ethnic minority groups though, if indigenous 'job seeking' people were told they have to find a job within 3 months or lose their benefits they would jump out of bed like a shot and soon find work. The government make it far too easy for people to claim benefits.

They should be vetted in France. Anyone who is genuine should be housed in a reception unit. Once all is OK they should go through a system of integration. If you are illegal or do not fulfil the criteria you should be sent back to your own country. Do not think the Polish and other Eastern European are Asylum seekers they are here to make sure Labour get in next time with their extra vote. Once they get in Labour will not throw them out so we have to stop them before they arrive.

we should let whomever in.
i belive, that they should not be allowed to live within the m25
this would stop the overcrowding.
also, they should not be able to use the nhs, without a passport, and their use of it should be logged, and charged when they start work. I belive they should be entitled to benefit, but benefit, should be, a bed, in a room, in a shelter, and £5 a day, for food, and u have to save to buy clothes. benefit is too cushy at the mo, if i was a grl, u could bet i would have 3 kids by 3 different dads by now, loads of money , in being a stupid little sl**

They'll soon be raping more than the system I should think
but I'll show no sympathy to any female who's harmed if she supported their entry to Britain. My old mate Adolph had the perfect answer which was to send them to the Eastern Front. Now Blair and his obnoxious colleagues are bringing them to the Western Front to the detriment of us all. Has everybody seen the latest employment figures? Blair is bringing in cheap labour and ethnic Brits will be thrown out of works. Again I'll show no sympathy for the working class cretins who voted Labour in when they end up on the dole.

I think that if they have a valid claim to persecution or harm in the country they have fled from they should be welcomed and give every assistance. If they are just economic migrants, they should be returned home.
Why are you so threatened by displaced people who have nothing? Do you have actual statistics to demonstrate that they are 'raping' the system? Surely it's a sign of a compassionate and civilised society that we offer shelter to victims of oppression and war. I'm more offended by the generation of 'natives' in this country who contibute nothing to society, who teach their children to use the benefit system to their own ends and who are xenophobic to such a degree that someone from the next street is seen as a hate figure.
The clue is in the word 'asylum' - look it up in a dictionary.

Allow them to live in the Uk so long as its Northern Ireland, i dont think many will stay after a short stay there.

i am not naive nor gullible, and am well aware of the government statistics for asylum seekers.
i am scottish, my parents were, my grandparents etc, all the way back to 1704, (prob earlier, but we've no data about that) safe to say that i'm not an immigrant or asylum seeker. i thought i would state this before answering the question, so you can be in no doubt about my origins.
think about you. think about your own families. what would you do in this situation?
how about the bloke here who said about his 'mate adolph'? if he had won the war and the nazi's controlled our country, who's to say that we wouldn't now be the ones that would be seeking asylum in other countries?
if our country was indeed run like this, then i think it's safe to presume that our way of life would be dramatically different. how would you feel then? if you tried to speak out you could be executed, if you tried to organise a demonstration, if you tried to educate your children the way you were educated, if you tried to follow your own religion...you could be executed or imprisoned.
what would you do then? just meekly accept that this is what the new rulers have allowed to happen to your country and that's just the way it is? would you try to change things? if you did try and change things and that didn't work, would you consider seeking asylum in another country?
because for a very large quantity of these asylum seekers, this is the choice they have made. they have left the land of their birth to try and give their families a better life, a safe life, one in which a person is actually considered to be a person and not just be known by their religion or ethnicity etc. if you look at the statistics and current situations in the countries from which these asylum seekers leave, you would surely understand what motivates them.
i cannot believe that the majority of them come to the uk because they feel they can 'sponge off the benefits system'. they come here with the knowledge that wherever in the uk they are housed they have a high chance of being met with contempt and disrespect. this is common knowledge throughout the world now. that the uk government accept asylum seekers (with european funding) and the uk people are becoming increasingly racist and intolerant.
like i said before, i know that a lot of these people screw our system, but come on. so do a lot of indigenous brits. so what do we do? stop them all from coming so we can ensure that no-one gets undeserved entry? tell them that we don't particularly want them to come here, regardless of the situation that they are in, in case they try to sponge off our system? send them back to the countries that they came from and tell them that we think they are just being melodramatic? that the official statistics that list the atrocities being commited in their countries are probably just exaggerated? that really, fellow human or not, we just don't give a damn what happens to them? that we believe in the right of freedom for all, the right to free speech, the right to free enterprise, the right to cross this world and emigrate where we want to (statistics show that there are more brits living abroad at this moment in time than currently live in the uk). we believe we have these fundamental rights.
but do we really believe that no other nationalities should have these rights unless they are provided within their own borders? that if they don't like the way their country is being run/ruled/dominated then that's just tough? they have to stick it out?
meanwhile, we in the uk will lecture the fanatics of this world on Compassion, Humanitarianism, Racial, Religious and Cultural Tolerance. We will rise up and demonstate about the Wars in other countries. We will rally against injustices in China, The Middle East, Eastern Europe, South America etc and our voices will be loud.
But god forbid that they want to try seeking asylum here.
i feel that each case should be dealt with on it's individual merits, just like 'normal' immigration laws.
most of these asylum seekers come here so they have a chance of actually living their lives safely. if you look at the statistics properly a lot of the asylum seekers are professionally qualified and would much prefer to stay in their own countries, if it were safe to do so. the fact that it isn't safe is not their fault or responsibility and it's hardly fair if we don't look at the facts of the case before we judge them.
Source(s): these statistics that i have mentioned come from the gov.uk sites. there are so many that i feel they would bore you if i listed them. however, here is one site that i think you should check out. it's called minature earth and it's something to think about. http://www.miniature-earth.com/ ps foureyesslim: i could argue your points with you, except....you didn't actually make any. so i guess i can't. as for my rose tinted views...what the hell are you talking about?? you think because i can see others' predicaments without being judgemental makes me ditzy or something?? you think i'm unaware of the problems in my country and in the world as a whole?? i have a life....a pretty damn good one at that...it's been pretty damn hard sometimes, very sad at others, but for the most part i really appreciate what i have and also the fact that i have the freedom to enjoy it. foureyesslim...as burns once wrote..."O wid some poo'er the giftie gie us tae see oorsels as ithers see us." - monkeyfaceLv 71 decade ago
I think every case has to be checked out on its own merits. It would be wrong to allow every single one entry but it would also be wrong not to allow some to gain citizenship.
Their reasons for wanting to come here should be fully investigated before a decision is made. There needs to be more staff working on this to get these things resolved faster.
