Does anyone know how to get gum out of knit pants?

I have tried everything, and they have gone through the washer and dryer several times. The gum is still there.

Try putting them in the freezer for a couple of hours. You should be able to peel the gum off, unless it is deeply in the fabric now because of the previous drying in the dryer.

It might already be set but try peanut butter the oil in it will soften the gum. Wash right away to get rid of the peanut butter.

Use peanut butter to remove gum, then use dishwashing liquid to remove the oil before that stains.

scrub with ice, until you get the gum off, should ball up well enough to pick off
