How do you feel about our children only having to learn about 8 planets?

As of this morning they have gotten rid of pluto and we only have 8 planets in our solar seystem. We went from 9 to 8. WOW!!!

    Now they have to learn about 8 classic planets, 3 dwarf planets and many other bodies in the solar system

    As I remember for school, Pluto was always a sketchy one anyway. There was no real info on it and no cool pictures. I think our youth will be just fine without Pluto.

    I'm going to teach my son about Pluto, the ninth planet, no matter what the idiot astronomers say.

    I am not that worried about it. I am more worried about some of the other things he might learn at school that I don't want him to learn about, for example sex education, drugs, smoking, etc. But the whole planet thing is not on my priority list.

    All I remember learning about Pluto is that it's called Pluto, it's furthest away, and it's cold, anyway...

    For the children it is OK.They are learning something new.Its us who learned them it is hard.
