Pregnant--What's with the bloating??

I am 10wks along and literally since I was about 6wks, I have been so bloated! My belly looks like I am 5 months along. I've gone to my regular visits and everything is ok, but I didn't have this at all with my first child. My jeans won't even fit now! Any ideas? Could it be something I'm eating? Not doing? Suggestions please!

Every pregnancy you will go through will be different. I am 10 and a half weeks and I have the same thing. Plus you can put on anywhere from 2-7 pound during your first trimester. I definately wouldnt worry about it. Like I said I have the same thing, my pants dont even fit me properly anymore.

Good luck, and congrats on the new arrival.

I had a very similar exerience with my second pregnancy. With the first I was barely showing at 7 and a half months and this time around I had to start wearing maternity pants at 8 weeks. Its got alot to do with hormone changes, and already being "stretched" once that it makes it easier to stretch a second time I think.

I've heard that after your first pregnancy, you next pregnancies will "pop" early and you will show more even though you're not far along. If you're sure you're bloated, it could be gas. Look into safe anti-gas meds (like gas-x) or your diet to minimize this.
