would all the questions on this site sound ridiculous at 2020 ?

everyone is going to be addicted to porn in 2020.

We are the new explorers.

We will be a case study.

A new career will be created

that specializes in analyzing

us, our questions, our answers.

We will make not only the history

books, but every single Psychology,

Anthropology, Social Behavior Studies

books/web pages, and then some.

Some will be awed at our brilliance,

others will beg to differ, and so on,

so on, as it has happened through

the ages.

If nothing else they will come to the

conclusion that:

"During those years, people:

Helped

Provoked

Called attention upon themselves

Used strange languages

Did not understand questions asked to them

Understood not only the questions asked them but

all the in between the lines inferences.

They went for something called 'points' which as of

today we cannot determine what they provided.

If they answered and the asker liked the answer,

they were supposed to dance around

There was a group that made all the decisions for

them, and these people never even got to meet or

to vote for them - there were no primaries, conventions,

nor election day, no spending.

And they were the creators of 24/7

without missing a day, they were there

every single minute of every single day.

Unless, the 'group' had run out of ink -

Indeed, a most unusual but highly inventive and

resourceful people, our predecessors were!

Yoyo, Our technology is developing very fast, who knows what will be around in 2020. But we, as humans, are not developing our thinking at the same rate, in fact we do it very slowly.

So if you are referring to the questions in the "Philosophy" section of Yahoo answers, I am sure the same questions will be around in 2020, because these questions have been around for hundreds of years, every since man started pondering on his existence.

The questions in the "computers", "Internet", "Car and transportation" have a big chance to sound ridiculous in 2020.

We are not developing as fast as the science fiction books predicted, that is for sure. Modern medicine is still slow in finding cures. Racism is almost worn like a badge of personal choice and I do not see it easing off. Education is still struggling to teach our kids the 3-R's. I would love to be old and gray in 2020 and see great changes for the better..but I am not very optimistic in 2006.

In 2020, PC's (and this site) will probably be the equivalents of 8-track stereo cartridges . . .

No, but some of the rude answers would. I asked a perfectly serious question regarding music and got an answer back "I don't care". If you don't care, get off of here or just don't answer at all thank you very much.

What is knowledge?[2]

What is the universe?[3]

Were asked for 1000's of years, and it is quite unlikely that another 15 years will solve them,

I think they would.Fifteen years ago there wasn`t many mobile phones and now everyone has them.I think it`s the same with knowledge and these questions.

They are the same questions we asked 20 yrs ago for the most part, only the players have changed!

Some might sound ridiculous but not all. Some questions are timeless......like.....what is the meaning of life, for example.....
