The problem I have is all the potential flaws from the writer.

I give it to Hans Kung, however, specifically for "Does God Exist? An Answer For Today" (1980) (ISBN 08245-1119-0)

The Holy Bible. I'm a Catholic, and the basis for the faith is found in the bible.

The easiest book on Catholic theology today is "The idiot's guide to understanding Catholicism".

The best books are by the Holy Father, John Paul 2.

um...i don't read a lot and when i do it's usually not books on catholic philosophy or theology but i have read SOME. "St. Michael and the Angels" was interesting to me. it's probably by far not the greatest work but it was interesting.

I am a strong Catholic, but I will admit that I have not kept up in my readings of Catholic philosophy. I will say, however, that no work on earth is a greater tome of Catholic philosophy than the Holy Bible itself. The study guide with it (aka Catechism) is helpful, but the Bible is the greatest.

Thats great, Carol M. Now you can belong to some "bible only" cult that was founded less than 100 years ago and demands 10% of your income .

Catholics are in no way obligated to pay a tithe. "Former Catholic" means Catholic by default, and not by practice.

I notice that when a Protestant converts to Catholicism, they still revere their former faith, because it has been embellished, not obliterated. I also notice that when a "former Catholic" turns their back on their faith, they become anti-Catholic.

You can tell a tree by its fruits, eh?
