They normally do not fight over money directly, but natural resources instead, which are used to stimulate their economies.
However, more deaths have occured in wars about religion than ALL of the other causes/factors combined.

Because money is stored labour energy.
That money over which we fight was at some point somebody's
pay for a day's worth of work!
That's why it is worth so much. It can get people to do work for scraps of paper.
