5 years later?

Tommorow is the 5th anniversary of Sept 11. What are your feelings, what do you think of, who do you think of? How has your life changed?

Update:

I was making a statement not reminding people, I am pretty sure that no one will ever forget.

I wonder why anyone would take so many lives senselessly, including their own, based on someone's instructions. I feel for the families of the people lost, and the rescuers who are now suffering with health issues. I think that the attack has and will continue to affect every American for generations to come much like Pearl Harbor. The financial burden of the attack and clean-up, the cost of enhanced security, and the cost of subsequent wars have devastated the US economy, a huge global consumer, that has begun and will continue to depress economic conditions across the Americas and in Europe and Asia.

What a sad and tragic event for the world perpetrated by some idiots!

I was working for the government in 2001, and was at work when everything happened. I am retired now, and I just remember all the horror of the day.

I feel like it just happened yesterday. I wish I could say I felt safer than I did in 2001, but the truth is I do not. Every year I think about those wonderful people who gave their lives that horrible day. I pray for them and their families. Sadly, another attack is inevitable. We are up against demons;not humana. It is hard to win a war against people who do not value life;not even their own.

God Bless America. We will never forget.

Keep breathing in and out. Time didn't stop in the year 2001, neither should our lives. I'm not trying to sound calised here, but life DID go on. I will remember those who died - and the heros of Flight 93. But I will continue on with my day as if it were like any other.

I am currently living in the Oklahoma City area. I remember the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995 very well. I came close to losing a friend - but luckily he wasn't in his office when the bomb went off. I kept breathing and going on then. I will do the same tommorrow.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks. I have prayed for each of you since that fateful day. I endured the days and years following the Oklahoma City Bombing, and I know that you will continue to do so in the future.

    God Bless!

When I think of that tragic day I think of the horrible things that happened but I also remember all the heroic things that the people of New York did, and around our country. I remember the fire fighters and all the people who did what they could to help, and some gave their lives doing so. One thing about our people is this, we are the Land of the Brave, and we prove it each time we have a crisis. It says a lot of things about this great country of ours and though people always try to find fault there is no better place.

Oh I wouldn't worry about reminding people they make new movies about it every year and the news brings it up every year. Um in answer to your question I think of all the people who have lost their loved ones and pray for them to continue on doing what they've been doing over the years and with each year I only hope that it gets better for them. Thats all I can think about. This has changed my life in a big way as I try to look out for our american people by praying for them at their time of need. I pray for world peace as well. I keep praying I know he hears me dang it.

I think of the people who died and the families who lost all of their loved ones. In particular, I think of the small children who will never know their fathers or mothers. It breaks my heart. I think of the heros who died and survived, in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. My life was touched by the events of that day. I will never see the world in the same way. Even with all the evil that brought the events into being, I remember most the best of humanity that shone that day. We all mourned. We banded together and human beings. The pettiness left for a short time and we could exist together for a common cause. I hope we never forget what happened, who died, who survived, and what our human potential is for love.

i think if the american governent would listen to little details, we wouldn't be in this mess. if they could take the f u c king time to listen and make decision, we would have caught Bin Laden years ago, but no they couldn't make a decision. everything that happens to this country is the fault of the stupid people that rule this country. i personally think the US government know where Bin Laden is but wouldn't attack because of some political s hit. the more i watch movies about 9-11 the angrier i get bcoz Bin Laden was on tv telling everyone he was gonna attack, but the fu cking government thought he was bluffing, and look what happened, he blew up the twin towers.

America is supposed to be one of the top countries but its government officials are the most stupid people on the face of the earth

The sky is deep, the sky is dark

The light of stars is so damn stark.

When I look up, I fill with fear

If all we have is what lies here.

This lonely world, this troubled place

Then cold dead stars and empty space.

Well, I see no reason to persevere

No reason to laugh or shed a tear.

No reason to sleep or ever to wake

No promises to keep, and none to make.

And so at night I still raise my eyes

To study the clear but mysterious skies

That arch above us as cold as stone.

Are you there, God? Are we alone?

The images that remain in my mind was the people jumping out of the windows. That will stay with me as long as i live. I wouldnt know what to do in that situation. But the answer to your question is just that, those are the people i will think of.

I think it renewed patriotism to the U.S. people were losing sight of what it is to be an American , and its sad that it takes tragedy to open perspective . Honor those who are gone..Americans and others alike. like we do in Pearl Harbor , put your flag up and never forget the Red , White , and Blue .
