all shelters charge an adoption fee, but the fee is minimal..These deserving puppies are better than free! http://search.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?acti...

as they have all shots and vet checks, and many are house trained and spayed/neutered...What a bargain!!!

Just put in your own zip code to find the puppies nearest you, then click on any picture for more information.

WOW! who could resist a puppy like this? http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi...

    Happy shopping!

Check with the humane society or the animal shelter in your locale. Many have web sites, so you can look at possible future pets without leaving home, and without putting the animals through the trauma of having you visit, yet not take one home. I've never heard of being able to adopt a pet online, however. This would be totally irresponsible.

I agree with the people, adopting an animal saves it's life, I use to work at a shelter and 70-80% of the animals don't find a home! So do as the others say, become a Hero and save a life! Then have the animal fixed so you don't add to the over population of unwanted animals!

There is no such thing as a free puppy. You have to pay for vaccines, heart and intestinal worm medicines, to have it spayed or neutered. A microchip is also a good idea, not necessary, but usually thrown in when you adopt from a shelter. You get lots of extras for your money and save a life too.

Shelter mutts seem to make the best pets as well, they know just how bad life can get and seem "grateful" for good friends and a loving home.

Check out your local Human Society. That way you can get a free dog that you can actually spend time with it and decide if it has a good personality. Also check your local paper under the "FREE" section of the classifieds. So often people are moving and can not take their pet with them. Often these are fantastic pets and they can already be current on their shots and already be spayed/neutered.

Don't' go on the NET. Go to your local Animal Shelter. For a small donation you can safe a life and help many others.
