Clothing Worn by Muslim Women?

Garments are for beatifying and for covering one’s body. The mode of dress should never display excess show and arrogance. Islam teaches a decent way of dressing to all women and men. The paramount purpose of clothing is to cover one’s nakedness. No man or a woman should dress in a way which rouses sexual desire in a stranger. Women ought to fully cover all the parts of their bodies except the face and hands. The aim of prescribing such a dress code for woman is to protect her honour and to ensure her safety.

Probably these girls are torn between the restraints and expectations of their parents whilst trying to live in the UK with its own values and freedoms which quite often flies in the face of their faith. I think that you've raised an interesting point and I'm a little disappointed to find at least two of the muslim guys who have responded on here being more than a little judgemental about Christian women. For starters boys just because they're white don't make them christian and secondly please get over yourselves this moral superiority is laughable and your own attitudes to women in some quaters totally disgraceful.

I'm not a muslim myself, but have been friends with lots of muslim girls when I was at college in Luton, so I am taking this from my own experience there where the strictness of their dress really varied. In Islam it asks that the women (and men I think) to dress respectfully. Depending on how strict the follower is will depend on how that is interpretted, so it can vary from a burkha to a modest head scarf.

Or maybe the girls you saw were being rebellious!

Muslim women need to wear clothes that covers every part of their body except for their face and hands (up to their wrists). Also, the clothes they wear must not emphasise their figures.

Yes I know what you are talking about,there are some options I can think of

!1)These girls weren't muslim,baring in mind that could of been the Asian style

2)They are muslim,but only wearing the hijab because their parents want them to

It's easy to confuse,a true muslim girl would be covered properly,I don't understand these people.

this is the modern day hijab/islamic covering for women. this is the westernized version that is being implemented by the US in many nations. It's the "fashion" that conda"****" rice is trying to create for the "muslim women of today". yea it's not islamic clothing. it's "westernized-muslim-wannabe a non-muslim" attire.

or simply they weren't muslim and they had a bad hair day. who knows.

If they were Muslim it just means they were being extremely lax, look to Islam not Muslims for the rules of the religion

Not every muslimah follows the teachings. You may find a few that do not. Must be said this is better than christians who wear to church what they wore to the night club the day before
