What is the genetic explanation of having many human races descending from Adam and Eve as the foreparents?

I think that the answer is Evolution, as people spread out all over the world they adapted to the enviromeent around them so those that live ina hot climate would have darker skin to protect them from the sun and those who lived in colder places had white skin then as we evolved further our genetics changed further and we all developed different genes. (I actually believe we evolved from animals but ya know lol)

The story about Adam and Eve is not true. First, as your question hints, in order to explain the current diversity of humanity, the human species must be older than the bible. Second, while there is something called the "mitocondrial Eve" and "Y-chromosomal Adam", those two are only the latest common ancestors of all humans if you look at the pure maternal and paternal line - mixed paternal/maternal lines in general end up somewhere else. Third, if it all started with only two persons, early humans would have to be highly incestious, which is against our instincts (and would probably have driven us extinct through heritable diseases).

Those issues asides, the human diversity is explained by evolution. Dark-skinned people have a better chance of survival in the tropics etc.

I think people are misunderstanding your question (by giving an evolutionary answer to a question addressed to creationists). This is a natural response to questions about creationism asked in the Science & Mathematics forum (especially in Biology).

In other words, you are asking "IF you believe that Creationism gives a scientifically defensible account of human origins, then how does that theory explain the origin of human races?"

Since no actual Creationists are responding, I'll add what I undersand Creationists to believe (and I apologize in advance if I am wrong in my understanding).

According to Genesis, every man, woman, and child on the planet is a direct descendant of Noah and his (unnamed) wife. All other descendants of Adam and Eve were wiped out in the flood. Noah had 8 passengers on the Ark ... himself, his (unnamed) wife, his three sons Shem, Japheth, and Ham, and their (also unnamed) wives.

The division of the races (according to Creationism, if I understand right ... and again, someone correct me if I am mistaken) is traced to the three sons, and the further subdivision into races, cultures, and languages and their dispersion to different parts of the planet are all traced to the story of the Tower of Babel in about 2500 BC.

The story of creation is not scientific, so there's no use in applying science to it.

If Adam and Eve were the only breeding pair, the human species would probably have died out rather quickly do to lack of genetic diversity.

Another question - were Noah's daughter married to men of all different races? Because if you take the Bible literally, all of humanity descended from Noah and his family; the rest perished in the Great Flood.

well, show me an African,Asian, Native American,Eskimo,Russian,ect. Adam and eve, there isnt one.... I was thinking this same thing the other day...maybe God created a&e's of different colors? That would explain the descendents...
