If you delete an email from Yahoo can it be recovered. ?
I know about the trash bin. That wasn't what I was thinking about. Here is why I am asking. A freind used to email me on a regular basis. She would delete the emails and empty the trash bin also on a regular basis.
Her current husband somehow found emails written to me from her. He claimed when you write any email on Yahoo it goes into the internet Cache.
I have gone into the Internet Cache and have never seen emails I have written from Yahoo and deleted in there. I do see references to the email address but not actual emails themselves.
It is my feeling her husband, an extremely jealous and emotionally abusive man, was spying on her.
So how did he do it? How did he find emails after they were deleted and the trash bin emptied?
We weren't secerat Internet Freinds. We had known each other for almost 17 years before she married the man. I had met him many times but because of his jealous nature he suspected me of everything from raping his wife, to kiddnaping.

Firstly, as you have tried it by yourself, It's not possible to retrive a deleted email once it has been deleted from trash bin.
Now there are two possibilities conern your question on how are husband got your email sent to her after she has deleted it.
1. If the husband knows her password, he might have read your email before her and marked it as unread. Then she will check her mails and see it as new email and delete it as usual thinking nobody has read it.
2. He may be playing trick on her wife to find out the relationship between her and you. Once he knows you with her but did not know whether she has left you completely, it is easy for him to just say that he is getting all or some of your emails sent to her. It is just a detective trick to uncover the secrete.

Please read the definition of cache which I obtained from whatis.com. These look like temporary internet files. If your friend cleared cookies and history, it might (underline might) eliminate this problem:
Tools
Internet Options
Delete Cookies
Delete Files (offline - temporary internet files)
Clear History
set days to store pages in history to 0
This will present a clear history the next time the PC is turned on.
"A cache (pronounced CASH) is a place to store something temporarily. The files you automatically request by looking at a Web page are stored on your hard disk in a cache subdirectory under the directory for your browser (for example, Internet Explorer). When you return to a page you've recently looked at, the browser can get it from the cache rather than the original server, saving you time and the network the burden of some additional traffic. You can usually vary the size of your cache, depending on your particular browser. "

I am not positive about this but on my computer in the history file itself you can view web pages. This file stores pics from the net and pages. I have actually went in there to find searches that I preformed on yahoo and google, and found them. Maybe it is there that he found a history of her emails, and was able to view them.
Also he may have a program running on her computer that "tracks" her. It would show screen shots of every page she visits. There are also trackers that record keystrokes, so everything that she typed could be viewed by him. These are hidden programs she would not know that they are there.

No, once you delete an e-mail or empty that bin, it's gone for good, unless you saved a draft or have it in the "reply" of an e-mail in your inbox.
I don't believe the internet cache thing either, it's possible he has either a key logger or another form of a spying software.

How about contacting Yahoo! via email or telephone or something. I'm sure they can answer it right away.

Ok, in the first place, if she is married, you both need to get a clue and quit e-mailing each other.
Outbound mail goes into the sent folder, and is also stored in cache I believe.

He probably knew her password, or he has a spy software on her computer.
She shouldn't have a secret internet friend if she's married though.....
