and how did you think of you have been going to become legally resident in US? who's your instantaneous blood relative who's a US citizen and who earns sufficient to assist you & grant a house for you, and who's prepared & waiting to document a petition for you? no count if that could be a sibling, you're finding at a wait to head into the U. S. of a minimum of 12 years, if the petition have been ever authorized. Canada isn't some "way station" on the line to US. Canadian citizenship will no longer do something that may assist you get to US. apart from, leaving Iran will no longer get you barred from reentry on your u . s . of citizenship. E.g. in case you have been deported for violating any visa rules, immigration or different rules, etc, Iran has to take you back.

    H-1 visa.

It applies to Canadian citiz, born or naturalized and also to immigrants. There is no other way that I know of, unless it is illegal.

Canadians do not wish to work in USA illegally. Life is just as good in Canada as it is in USA. Opportunities are limitless in Canada as well. Canadian Politics may be dull, nothing exciting going on in their capital city, but Canadians are not dull.

There are no compelling reasons - economical or otherwise - to go to USA in the first place.

To immigrate is to move permanently from one country to another. If your friends just want to work, they may not need to immigrate...They could just sneak across the border along with millions of others...

You need to talk with the BCIS, formerly the Immigration and Naturalization Service, found in most major cities. They would tell you what is needed. Usually, what you need is a job offer in the US and a sponsoring company.

Have them try the embassy, or state dept. The work visa part isn't as painful as trying to get full citizenship. My neighbor *married* a Canadian, and she's still trying to get citizenship. She has to go back to Canada several times a year for two weeks!

I don't think Canadians want to emigrate to the US, since Canadians have a higher standard of life.
