Both... It's no good to love someone who doesn't love you back, nor is it good to have someone love you and not love them back, you need both in order for the whole thing to floww...

Both, like anyone else. Being loved by someone that you love is a good feeling to have. An you loving someone the other person may not have to feeling back. So i would rather be on the recieving end, that way I have the choice of loving that person back.

I prefer to be loved by someone...that way, the burden is on them. And love can be a burden. How distressing is it when you love someone and they don't return the feeling? Also, the initial stages of love are quite time consuming, your thoughts are always on them, or drifting back to them, you are at their "mercy" at times. Not that love doesn't have its joys, it certainly does!! it just can be very distracting.
But the only true love is unconditional love, you love something because you choose to love something, if you expect anything in return it now becomes a negotiation or an arrangement, i.e., "I love you so you must love me back." Although it may initially be painful to love someone, especially romantically, who doesn't return the love, if you continue to put love out into the universe it WILL return to you, in some shape or fashion, maybe not from your initial interest but somewhere down the pike there is love in your path. Peace.

If I would prefer being loved by someone because that will make you feel better

It hurts someone when the love only goes one way. So it has to be both ways. Love is best when 2 people feel it for each other.

Definitely loving someone. There's nothing worse than having someone into you but you're just not into them and they don't seem to get the hint. I absolutely hate having to say something to hurt their feelings and I always feel lousy afterwords. Being in love is much more fun for me.
Of course the best way is to love someone who loves you back:-)

I can't be (physically) with someone I don't love, but then if he didn't love me he wouldn't be with me, so I would have to say both. I can love someone and not be with them but what is the fun in that situation?

I prefer both being loved and loving someone. I think its a good enough combination for love and enternity.

If I love someone, then that means they love me, so I would say both.
