I need help with moving large azelia bushes?
Can I cut it apart? What is the best soil for them? Is this the right time of the year? It is about 70 degrees here.

You sure do. You probably need a backhoe. Depending on how large the shrub is, the rootball may be well over 100 pounds. If you want to save it, don't try the pickup routine. And no, they can't be cut apart. Sure, it's a fine time to transplant - if you can get the help!

Azaleas like acid soil. If you dont' want to replant them, you can just jerk them out by tying them w/ a rope to the back of a p/u truck. If you want to save the bushes, you will just need to dig a huge hole around them, and slowly loosen them up.
