Possibly pregnant-need explanation....?

I was late this month and thought I might be pregnant. I had some "symptoms", but I thought I might be convincing myself. Late yesterday I started, with pretty bad cramps. However I am not bleeding much, but it normal looking. Could this be implantaton bleeding, or did I start. I was about 4 days late. I ALWAYS get cramps the day before and the day of, and I am usually like clockwork. food/smoke is making me sick, I am exhausted and sleeping all the time. Am I pregant maybe or just a hypochondriac? What is implantation bleeding like?

Update:

Planning on taking a test tonight or tomorrow. Responding to answer 6-I did start bleeding, but it is not at all a normal first day for me. How light is light? Color isnormal, but...(this is kind of gross, sorry for over sharing, but I need advice folks) it has a lot of clear "stuff to it, maybe more so than red. Thanks for all the tips already.

Take a pregnancy test, because implantation bleeding can vary from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. The first time I got pregnant, I had on small faint reddish-brown spot. The second time, I had something similar to a light period for 2 days. The heightened sense of smell and being tired are signs of pregnancy. If your bleeding is lighter than a normal period, then it can be implantation bleeding. Better to take a test so you know for sure. Being 4 days late, you should get a positive result by now if you are pregnant.

Implantation bleeding happens (IF it happens) about 5-8 days after ovulation and it is just very mild spotting for a day or two, not much at all just light light spotting, so since you are already late I don't think it is implantation bleeding. Some women when pregnant have a brownish discharge the day they were supossed to have their period, yours does not sound like it. If you are indeed pregnant the bleeding you are having is NOT normal, you might be experiencing an early miscarriage or an abnormal period, both very commun. Remember that pre menstrual symptoms are the same as early pregnancy symptoms so what I would do if I were you is I would take a pregnancy test and if it is positive I would see a doctor right away.

More then likely your on your period but some few women do get a little..I mean little bit of a period. But on the positive side you could just be cramping due to the baby closing off his home..lol. Either way congradulations. Oh and to answer your question implantaion bleeding is like any other bleeding it all rushes out the same end and its always confusing if your with or without child. Just take the pregnancy test.

Bleeding might not be "normal", but it is somewhat "common". You could still be pregnant, it wouldn't hurt to take a test especially since you are having some signs. As far as implantation bleeding, I have been told that is usually just spotting...not a regular flow. Good luck, baby dust to ya!

I highly doubt you are pregnant, simply because of the fact that you said you started your period. Implantation bleeding is supposed to be either pink or brown and extremely light (only appears when you wipe). Your sleepiness is probably just a symptom of your period. If you are really worried, though, it never hurts to take a test.

Better to just take a pregnancy test to be sure. Bleeding is not normal in pregnancy although possible. Good luck!

Take a test and be sure, if you are not pregnant then go to your doctor right away and get tested to see if there are any underlying conditions you need to be aware of.
