Can someone (anyone?) please help me by explaining how: if you wanted to, using a hex editor, how would you change all of the lower case letters to upper case, most easily. assuming you have a plain old text file here. (my example is the Gettysburg Address). thanks for any help you can give me.

My 20 month old will not sleep through the night. he did for a brief while, but has stopped for unknown reasons. we have a solid routine, which includes physical activity, bath, story then bed at 10. (he sleeps very little, this is the earliest i can get him down). he wakes up with some regularity around 3am or 4 am almost every night. he won't let me just go in to comfort him, rub his back, etc. He screams for however long it takes for us to give up and bring him in to sleep with us. I work full time, so this is absolutely killing me. My husband wants to let him cry it out, but it kills me to be woke up for an hour or more each night when I only get to sleep about 5 hours. any advice would be most appreciated.

I would like to try my hand at growing some vegetables in my back yard this summer. my issue arrises from the fact that our lawn is treated each quarter. I can't get a hold of the service that does it to ask what exactly is used, but it is nothing special, just general stuff. Will this treatment prevent us growing a garden? I would like to avoid container gardening as my dog will get into anything like that, where as I can keep him out of a small area a little away from the house. Any ideas/info is much appreciated. thanks

My 5 mo old puppy eats everything. while I know this is pretty common, he has been throwing up in the morning, for the last couple of mornings. I am worried that he ate a thumb tack last night, but I can't prove it. Before the inevitable, take him to the vet answers, what could be wrong with him with the throwing up? Is it just teh eating stuff. I will be taking him to the vet soon.

I have read that during ovulation, there is often a clear discharge. my question is what if there is a tint to this discharge? It is still mostly clear, and odorless, but looks slightly brown(a little like early/late period) color. What is this? And to preceed the inevitable, it is not an STD, I get tested every year and am married in a monogamous relationship.

When did you KNOW you were pregnant? How early could you just feel it? what made you think, "this is it!", before testing?

I was late this month and thought I might be pregnant. I had some "symptoms", but I thought I might be convincing myself. Late yesterday I started, with pretty bad cramps. However I am not bleeding much, but it normal looking. Could this be implantaton bleeding, or did I start. I was about 4 days late. I ALWAYS get cramps the day before and the day of, and I am usually like clockwork. food/smoke is making me sick, I am exhausted and sleeping all the time. Am I pregant maybe or just a hypochondriac? What is implantation bleeding like?

I have a new puppy. He is two months old and I know that he is "normal" in his behavior, but I need advice. How long does the biting go on? The peeing in the house, when we went outside 5 minutes ago. The crying when he is kenneled? How long before he starts recognizing his name and other commands(like no)? Any help or directions I will be grateful for. Thanks-WC
