Yes, I definitely think it would be a good choice as far as income is concerned. You're young and have the advantage. What am I leading up to?
Money isn't everything, and while it is a important to choose a career that will provide a good income, it's more important to choose a career in something you absolutely love to do. Not many out there are employeed in a career they enjoy and thrive on. Make a good choice. You won't be sorry.

Vets usually don't make a whole lot of money, and you'll likely rack up a lot of debt to pay for vet school. It's one of those jobs that people do because they love it, not because it's lucrative. Also keep in mind that there are very few Vet Med (DVM) programs in the entire country, so competition can be quite fierce to get in. If your main goal is a good job and good pay, then being a vet probably isn't for you.

Yes, if you excel in math and science and, above all, love working with animals. Why not get a part time job with a vet now to see first hand what the career entails and whether or not you are suited for it. You could also volunteer at local animal shelters. Good luck!!

If you love animals. I do belive it's extremely competitive though. Maybe aim for something you are passionate about, rather than the money itself.
