Help I've got fleas in my apartment?

I brought my kitten home from the vets last week, and within a few days we had fleas. Only a few, so I treated him with Advantage. Now he's not getting bitten, but I am! It's getting worse every day. I'm their only sorce of food! I've got over 40 bites from my chest to my waist. It's horrible! I've vacumed, but I live in a studio so there area alot of places with heavy furniture that I can't get to. I'm washing all my bedding today, so hopefully that will help. Are there any alternatives besides fumigating? I don't want to do this because my cat is indoor only and there is nowhere for me to put him while this is done to the house. I need an option I can do while my kitten is in the house that won't harm him. Help!??! I'm sick and tired of being flea food!!!

    FOG NOW!!!!!

Take your kitty back to the vet for a bath and a FRONTLINE treatment. WAY super delux better than Advantage, as it kills the eggs.

Now fog. Use the ADAMS foggers that are only found at pet stores as they are THE best. They kill all fleas, eggs, and larvae.

Now go see a movie, and maybe et that Brazillian thing ;-)

I'm serious about the fogging tho, do it now before you are overrun. I had the same problem, and this is what I did.

After all of this, monthly frontline treatments for the kitty, and you'll never see another flea again.

I had exact same mission. i got here across out that eggs lie dormant for as a lot as six months and circulation on them motives hatching and Baum u were given fleas and lots. i'd guess whoever lived there earlier you had a puppy and also you could carry in on your cloths. i got here across--which u must have land-lord pay- a guy that sprayed the exact same product it really is in the front line flea dogs. upon getting them it really is a nightmare to get rid of, call a computer virus man or woman and tell land lord.-also earlier you brush toss small amt ofborax-o previous time laundry dry powder cleansing soap everywhere.enable set some then vacume- some thing in it breaks their difficult shells and u sweep em up. i'd actually have an afternoon I knew i'd be lengthy previous and spray all mattress furnishings and closets and then set Don,t supply in for some month reason u nonetheless have toddlers which will hatch. i'd also tell about the flea bag dogs -if no longer you're struggling with a lost reason.also you aren't any more to pay and would refuse to pay lease till mission is cleared up. in case you opt for call your well being dept.ou can then tell him who's at fault and who will pay and it really is not you.Fleas are a grimy well being difficulty and also you want to regulate the placement. Worst-he comes to a call to be an --- and also you'll get deposit and established and extremely last months lease again and flow. both way it really is a win win . It's more dangerous to live with the fleas than it is to fog the apt. After 30 days, 25 fleas become 250,000! They carry diseases, parasites, and can make you crazy!

Sometimes fogging has to be done twice with an infestation to make sure you get them all. You can try natural methods like citrus extracts, etc but they aren't

any safer for your kitty. Try just a spray at first if you're nervous about fogging, but those eggs can get way down into the mattresses and upholstery. We had to put a mattress in a sealed bag with a fleabomb and I had only stored it in this basement for a month or so! They work fast-Also make sure you've gotten all the eggs & flea dirt(poop) off the cat or they'll just hatch, grow up & make babies!

Take your kitty and whoever else lives there out of the home and set off 2-4 bug bombs. You can get them at any dept store. Follow directions carefully! You'll be bug free by the time you get back. Not only will it kill the fleas but other little critters you may not even know you had. Raid makes one of the products Put your kitty in a carrier and the two of you go to a local park for a few hours while the bombs work....best solution that I know of at the time. Good Luck

after you fog if you are still having a problenm you can try a home remidy it sounds kind of weird i know but Banana Stock and rub it on your carpet and it will kill the fleas. I would try the fogger first since it is easier to find butif you are still having a problem try this.

Source(s): my father was a pest exterminator he says this works really well.

Ive heard that you can sprinkle rock salt on your carpet and it dehydrates them. I think your supposed to leave it overnight.

both of these will not harm anyone:

go to the petstore..find a flea treatment you can apply to your carpets/furniture and vaccum it up.

    items like those will work.

also baking soda works and table salt mixed (ive read).. leave it on your carpet for 24hrs and vacuume it up the next day
