Yes but use surgery as a las resort. My mom battled sinusitis for years and she has had 4 sinus surgeries. She now has no sense of smell and can only taste sensations. Salty, sweet, and bitter. If you can avoid the surgery....do it!!! Oh and one more thing....she still gets a number of sinus infections every year.

Yes you can if it is an emergency but most likely your specialist would put you on antibiotics to attempt to get rid of the infection first.This actually happened to me as well and I had to have emergency surgery due to my tiny sinuses collapsing. This although rarely done can be a life saving surgery which can have bad side affects but as my specialist told me about 1 in a billion people ever have side effects so don't sweat it and I would get the surgery if your sinuses continue to detoriate over time.

That is probably not a good idea. Too much risk of infection after the surgery. There is a lot of beeding and open raw tissue. I'd wait until the sinusitis clears up.
