Yes, many times, but now at age 40 I know it's always temporary because situations change all the time.
It's difficult to generalise, but normally it requires work on your part rather than waiting for rescue. I have done this in a number of ways - confronting people who are bothering me, being patient, selling my house, asking for what I need and most importantly working on my self esteem and feeling like I am the one in control of the situation and not the other way round. Yes, life is terrific now and I have been in very dark and hopeless places in my life. You are always growing and learning and tadversity can be opportunity in disguise, as corny as that sounds. Hard to be specific without knowing more!

Yes, a few times. My first marriage - but I endured. Things happen and change and the marriage ended with his early death in an auto accident. That's only one incident, but always I've tried to do the best I can under any circumstances and if it's karma, God, Angels or what - just when you think you can't take any more, you do - BUT things DO turn around for the better ALWAYS. I'm 60 years old and have been to hell and back several times and have learned that the trip back far exceeded any of my highest expectations. Perseverance seems to be the key.

When you get that 'stuck in a rut' feeling, there is nothing you can do but take your life by the short hairs and do something to change it. Go back to school, switch jobs, move to a better or new environment, get out of dead end relationships, etc. Thinking and dreaming about somethng better won't do a darned thing. You've got to take action, avoid sitting around feeling sorry for yourself, and please don't turn into a drama queen who endlessly complains to your friends when they're all just sitting around wondering why you just don't do something about it.

There's always a way out! It's just that sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees.
Write yourself a list of things that you need and/or want to do and cross them off as you accomplish them - when you look back at the list you'll see how far you have come!

YES. I am still there now, but am making progress.
Just gotta keep swinging. Keep going. Make some plans, and a backup plan too. You need a good strategy to really make a change.
Just keep going. Fight.
I AM seeing a light at the end of the tunnel (thankfully) but its been a long road.
Good luck.

I was stuck in a rebound marriage, desperately stuck, and looking for a way out. I found a new friend, moved out and travelled 2000 miles across country. SOOO much better!
