Yes I know just what you mean...there is swearing and racism that is allowed and other what I class as sensible questions being deleted..Yahoo need to make clearer guide lines and if some one is accused of a violation at least allow them to give their side of events.

You can't really have a public forum like this without occasionally getting into debates, first of all. To the point, though, I know what you mean. I've gotten cited twice--the first time, for no good reason at all; the second time, I gave an answer that I admitted was inappropriate, but so was the question. In the second case, my answer was deleted; by that time, the question had been resolved, so I just posted something sarcastic in the "Comments" section, which made me feel a little better.
I think there are too many people out there--mostly of a liberal persuasion--who are put off by reasonable, witty, or lucid commentary on certain issues. Not being too concerned with the right of free expression, these people turn to the only means of reprisal they know, suppression of speech. The best thing you can do is to ignore them like the petty, insignificant leeches they are and move on to more important things.

Yeah, I got a question removed for Chatting. I asked a question, people answered, and in order to provide more details and give someone (including the person who answered) additional things to think about, I commented on their comments. I resolved the question by picking a best answer. Then about a week goes by and I get an email from YA saying my question has been removed because of chatting. No one who answered my question went back and updated their answer, and no one who answered my question after I posted additional details commented on my comments. So how is that chatting?

No, I don't get petty violation messages.
I think this is not a forum for a sensible debate. This is a forum for exchanging knowledge. If your expectation is different from reality, perhaps you should look for a site that better fits what you're looking for.
FYI, here's a link to Yahoo's community guidelines. This is what defines what or is not a violation.

I got a violation for asking "Tell me a funny story" I do not know why. But it's still fun to ask questions. Just don't get discouraged. I have also found it's usually the God squad (you know who they are) are the ones who do that.

I think its all automated through their server. I get them all the time. I always challenge them and call them pathetic hypocrites, but they never answer my challenge. I once got busted for answering "huh???"...crazy huh? Just ignore them..I do. :-)

It would help if we knew what you are talking about. What did you ask that was a violation?
