Swollen Glands on one side of my neck? Am i getting sick?

So yesterday morning i woke up and one side of my neck hurts so bad. Ive been sick before of course and both sides of my neck usually is sore when i get sick but this time its different. It hurts to even turn my head to the side. Is this normal? The gland is a little swollen but it just hurt really bad without me even touching it.

Is it a gland or neck lypm nodes?

Lymph node is one of the many small oval structures that filter the lymph and fight infection and in which lyphocytes, monocytes, and plasma cells are formed. Lymph flows into the node through afferent lymphatic vessels. Most lymph nodes are clustered in areas such as the mouth, the neck, the lower arm, the axilla, and the groin.

Well, in your case, I'm suspecting that you have lymphedema, which is characterized by the accumulation of lymph in soft tissue and the resultant swelling caused by inflammation, obstruction, and other secondary causes.

You suspect that it is the gland, you mean the thyroid gland.

Hyperthyroidism is a condition characterized by hyperactivity of the thyroid gland. The gland is usually enlarged, secreting greater than normal amounts of thyroid hormones, and the metabolic processes of the body are accelerated. Nervousness, exophthalmos, tremor, constant hunger, weight loss, fatigue, heat intolerance, palpitations, and diarrhea may develop.

It's best to see your physician.

What i prefer to advise is seeing a physician approximately your ailment. i do no longer understand plenty, yet I heard going to a physician as quickly as available might desire to shop you the hassle of having greater contaminated by ability of no longer likely.
