What are your pet peeves concerning other peoples DRIVING?

People who don't know where they are going, and stop in the middle of the road to see if that is there turn. People who see that I am waiting to turn into traffic, and do not use their turn signals. People who block intersections in traffic. People that honk there horns the second the light turns green.

People that don't use signal lights or their car didn't come with that standard feature.

People that take wide turns like they are driving a semi.

People that talk on cell phones while diving, hey why not read the paper while you're at it.

People that tailgate because they want to smell the exhaust from your car.

People who don't maintain their car, burnt light,excess exhaust, rust buckets.

People who think driving is a right, when we know it's a privilege

People then beatch about others driving and do nothing about it.

People that stop at an intersection are practising defencive driving. If you didn't what if a car ran a stop sign and you were not looking when they did. SMASH!

First let me say that it is against traffic laws to pass a vehicle that is turning, you are supposed to wait instead of work your way around them. If you were in an accident passing a turning car, you would be at fault, so as annoying as it may be, try to have a little more patience.

I am new to RI, and this state has been rated the number one on the list of worst drivers in the country by GMAC and Nationwide Insurance. When someone wants to get across two lanes of traffic, they dart out when the one side is clear and sit there blocking the lane waiting for the other side to clear. Tail gators are a breed in themselves. I let them know my feelings for them by putting on my brakes. I also ride a motorcycle and people don't realize that a bike cannot stop the same way a car can and they decide at the last minute they are going to stop at the stale yellow light. Also while riding the bike, people who throw their cigarette butts out of their car windows. I have now gotten in the habit of carrying a few butts in my pocket when I ride. When someone tosses one, I pull up to them at a light and toss one in their window and say "hey, I'm glad I caught up with you, you lost something". I also hate people who flash their lights at you because they want to pass you. If I am doing the speed limit, I typically won't move for someone like that. If I see traffic coming up behind me quickly, I DO move over and let them get by, but not for the moron who thinks he owns the road.

I have a few more-people on cell phones talking and not paying attention at all to where they are going! Women who change their clothes and or apply makeup while driving. Not using turning signals and people who pull out in front of me and go slow.

A Buick ahead of me on the entry ramp to the Interstate.

This means that the 93-year-old driver who can't see over the dashboard is going to come to a screeching halt in the acceleration lane.

#1. people talking on their cell phone WITHOUT using the hands-free....

2. left ur turn signal on for 10 miles

3. constantly swerving to the left, than to the right because they are looking for something INSTEAD of driving

4. the people who still do 15 mph in a school zone when schools are CLOSED

5. i particularly loathe the ones who stop in the middle of the street and start talking to someone.... i.e. young punks w no consideration, i usually speed up to pass them within inches...

and last but not least

6. the asshole who speeds up to you, then passes you to get one car length ahead of you in the fast lane..... like 80 isn't fast enuf!

People who gab on their cell phones non-stop while going 70! Insane!!!

Also, people who drive on the shoulder when traffic is backed up so they can go up ahead and cut in line.

People who you let cut in line as they turn into traffic from McDonald's or wherever and neglecting to give a courtesy or "thank you" wave.

-Tailgating

-People who slow down when they see a cop who is already writing a ticket.

-No Turn Signals

-Changing lanes infront of you and going slower

-People who go around me and end up going just as fast a before (I dont know why but this irratates me)

-People who get mad at you for not going fast enough (even though im going 80 on an 65)

People that do not use single lights. People that Sunday drive on Friday. People that tailgate. Hit and Run drivers. And people too old to walk.

people who are smoking a ciggerette and talking on their cell phone at the same time.... especially the ones who didnt realize the light turned green and your just sitting their becuz they are to dumb to realize you are the one honking at them. Oh and the people who LOVE to drive 10 miles under the speed limit in a 30 mph zone.
