here's some news that makes this debate a lil bit better who's with me, less illegals will be coming?
I suspect one major reason is the same federal government that refuses to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws is determined not to accurately measure the number of illegal aliens in the country so as to further cover up both the cost of illegal immigration and the necessity of creating a rational public policy.
We do know that the government of Mexico encourages its poorest citizens to cross our border, to live and work in the United States. And we know that illegal aliens are sending back to Mexico more than $20 billion in remittances per year, according to the Bank of Mexico. Those remittances from Mexican citizens living in the United States are one of the largest sources of foreign income for the nation of Mexico, neck and neck with oil revenue.
No wonder that President Vicente Fox and the government of Mexico not only encourage Mexican citizens to illegally cross our borders, but also fight strenuously against American efforts to control that border.
Illegal aliens are an important part of a one trillion-dollar underground economy in America, according to Barron's. Illegal employers hire illegal aliens who pay little or no income taxes, and whose children are provided free schooling. Illegal aliens receive medical and social services, and over the past decade have displaced more than two million low-skilled American workers from their jobs.
Because the federal government refuses to enforce immigration laws, cities and towns all over the country are being forced to take on the illegal immigration crisis. Escondido, California, became the latest city with the courage to pass an ordinance prohibiting landlords from renting to illegal aliens.

raidergirl, illegal mexicans are draining the american economy, and trying to subtly build the economy of mexico, i ain't racist cuz i have mexican friends, but hey were born here and have the right to be here cuz they are citizens, let me know if i can come in your home smoke weed, eat your food and not help out if that would be ok with you, cuz that's eqivalent to what the illegals are doing

less will come in if the goverment fined the people hireing them . i work construction the immagration raids the job there find new one to take theyer place its never ending . now some say that they do the jobs we dont want to do . now i say they do the jobs that the people who hire them dont wanna pay americans good wages to do . like landscapers . i have a buddy that owns his own bis he dont hire mexicans he pays his men well. i have nothing aganist mexican or immagration if it leagal i mean if they have good papers and came here leagally . hell yes let them keep comeing . ive been around the world 2 times over if we breack laws like the mexicans break here in mexico . american would be shot or put in jail

This is a compelling argument. I have a counter offer, I say we make as many current illegals, legal. Get them to start paying taxes from their wages and let our government and our people rip the benefits for a while. Once the are legal, employers will be forced to pay competitive wages to them, and this in turn would open the market for American citizens who want that job.
Their country sucks and I don't think it takes much encouragement for them to want to come here. I would too if I was a Mexican.

Why no longer? Our congressmen all handle them greater suitable than us! They HATE us except we are capitalisticly preditorial and packed with egocentric GREED and hate god and are queer and dont very own weapons otherwise THEY HATE US! All congressmen burn in hell. i want to confirm them burn! i might torchure them if i could desire to for a fashion they have achieved us all!!
