Where does common sense come from? Reincarnation maybe?

Have you ever noticed how some things will just come naturally to some people, but other people, regardless of age, sex, lifestyle or background, just don't get it?

I think common sense may be tied to reincarnation. Lessons that you learn in passed lives make an imprint on your soul, which you can recall in future lives. The more you learn a lesson, the stronger the imprint becomes, and the sooner it becomes common sense in future lives.

Say, you learn that fire is hot when you're 6 one life because you touch it. In your next life, whether you touch a flame or not, you'll understand that it's hot when you're 6 because that's when you learned it last time. In your next life, maybe you'll understand it when you're 5, not because you touched it again, but because your soul remembers it.

Update:

Unlike things that you learn and remember with your brain, like math and spelling, fundamental lessons are what you learn with your soul, and thus what you will remember in future lives, after your brain (being a material part of your body) separates from your personal essence and deteriorates.

    im not sure about reincarnation

but for sure some people tend to be naturally more logical and sensible

maybe genetic .. maybe their spirit is learning whilst alseep .. maybe reincarnation

there are so many ways to look at it

but what matters is its great that some people can bring logic to this world

And this is all assuming that we have a soul and/or a personal essence. I think that it is not common sense to imagine that we have a soul that migrates from body to body. Common sense is more the opposite of that. Imagine you were shopping and you put your purse in the cart and turned away to shop for a second. If you look back and your purse is gone, common sense is the thing that tells you that you have been robbed. You would not jump to the conclusion that your purse had just disappeared into another dimension or some such nonsense.

Occam's Razor is your friend. Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitateml or, entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity. Common sense is the application of two things, patience to consider consequences and the native intelligence most humans are born with.

Perhaps you might find this idea comforting, to believe that learning is a single occurance in some previous life compounded by further experiences of the same event over and over, but it looks more like an esoteric attempt to circumvent accountability to me.

I personally do not believe in Reincarnation. You have your soul. When your body dies, your soul goes to heaven or with the devil. It is not reincarnated. That is my belief.

Common Sense has to do with human experience. Common sense ideas tend to relate to events within human experiences with life. It is using logical thinking. Wisdom.

is what people in common would agree: that which they "sense" in common as their common natural understanding. Some use the phrase to refer to beliefs or propositions that in their opinion they consider would in most people's experience be prudent and of sound judgment.

Example. My old roommate would leave money in her car for everyone to see even though I would tell her to put it away. She would say "It's only a dollar". I would tell her people don't know that. She got her car broke into and her purse was stolen because she left it seen. She had to learn that. It never happend to her, so she thought it would be ok on the floor of the car. She is a very bright person when it comes to book smart, just not common sense. She hasn't experienced much of it. She is oblivious to most of it. She is learning. Just like kids, they have no fear. They will run out into the street, most trust strangers. They have to learn it. Some learn faster than others. I find that most people who are book smart do not have as much common sense smarts. I am not putting anyone down, just stating my opinion of what I observe.

Reincarnation is phoney baloney. Common sense is nothing more than knowledge learned from teaching or life experience that most people are expected to have.

Nah, I don't think so. Note that kids have no common sense. They pick it up as they go. I know advanced calculus now - does that mean the next time around I won't have to study it again? Of course not.

That is a great explanation for it. I think our souls live many lives. Young souls are somewhat immature their whole life.

Common sense comes from wisdom. Wisdom comes from God.

I like your theory. You should learn about the "collective unconscious." (Carl Jung) It ties in to your theory pretty well.

No. God gave us all five senses...sadly there are many who don't know how to use any of them...but think they do.
