Can I use an HDTV without subscribing to digital??

Many of the stations in our area are still analog, even with digital cable being available. What will happen when I view these stations on a HDTV??

Nothing. It will just be a regular picture.

Source(s): I have an HDTV and I just have basic cable.

Use free over-the-air HD. you may not be able to find stations if you're not in or near a large city.

Alalog tv won't look too great on a new hdtv. Not as bad as it did on your old tv, but not nearly as good as hdtv content would look.

If you have an HD TV with a built in turner you can get your locals Like ABC NBC CBS and fox in HD if you have a good enough antenna

I would go with my local cable company before I got a dish. Dish suck they are down alot and you local channels look like tihs...

you can pick up the local stations from an antenna just like always but the signal will be digital and you will get HD programs.
