To Trash Talking Dems?

Poll numbers are poll numbers. Some vote counts were close. Most were won by a large margin. And about 60% of the voters are moderates, who were not even represented in the polls or the vote. Didn't see any trash talking AFTER the election, at least by the candidates.

Nobody has a mandate. At least no side can roll over the other which gives the MODERATES the closest thing to a mandate'

Who did you say is trash talking? Why don't we all stop it? Time to do what needs to be done, & pull together for the good of our world.

Except, of course, that the GOP did the same thing in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006...and in those cases the elections were even closer. And I would definitely say there is a mandate there. The democratic candidates did not lose ONE incumbent seat. The GOP lost nearly every competitive senate seat, and a large majority of every competitive House seat. This isn't a fluke... it's a signal that a majority of Americans do not like the road the country is traveling.

Actually, if it weren't for the fact that Congressional districts are heavily gerrymandered, mostly to favor the Republicans (but to be fair, also to favor incumbents in both parties), the Democrats would have had an even bigger landslide. Most Congressional districts are drawn so that they have either about 60% Republican voters or 60% Democratic voters. When the Republicans are in power, as they have been for 12 years in the House, they like to stuff extra Democratic voters into the districts that are already safe seats for Democrats, in order to "waste" their votes, and enable more Republicans to get elected. If Congressional districts were drawn in a neutral way, the Democrats would probably have about a 100 seat majority.

Maybe they didn't "kick butt" but they sure saved a lot,including yours and mine. Now as soon as the Dems clean out the big house in 2008 we will begin to see the true America again!

Dems don't have to talk trash about reps. lol the reps put their trash out for everyone to see it!

Uh, the Reps do the same thing whenever they win. Yes, they were close. So, were the last 2 presidential elections....that hasn't stopped the Reps "trash talking." As the Reps said to the Dems after 2000 and 2004.....Get over it!

Exactly! A lot of Democrats that won basically ran as a conservative. It wasn't a victory for liberal ideas in this country, so I wouldn't worry all that much. The country is pretty much split down the middle. You have the people who earn a living a vote accordingly, and you have those people who are voting to take what people have earned and then give it to someone else. There will be major gridlock in our Government for the next two years.

remaining off of discussion and the loose substitute of concepts and counsel is a classic tactic of the left. No socialist government has ever allowed descent and neither will the yank left in the event that they are able to smash out with it. as quickly as speech has been silenced, then the enemies of liberty would be loose to attack their next objective, what ever that could properly be. The left understands the capability of organizing and that the loose pass of counsel is needed hence, and the top of opposition is their purpose.

Trash talking...com on dude...You all spit forth more trash in the past 6 yrs then NYC garbage dept. Take your boy rush...And the results were far closer in that elction then tehy are now..Mater of fact there is a strong argument that popular vote had dems 6 yrs ago and we lost to the electoral vote..That did'nt stop your trash talk..Now sit down and take reap what you sowed.

Well, Democrats are known for having really inflated heads, most of it is hot air, so nobody actually pays attention to them.

When Republicans won, we never said we kicked their butt, nut said congrats you ran a good defense. That's the difference. Republicans have class, Democrats are another class... :)

NOW we can have balance. It is not trash talking, we won many seats. Who had been trash talking, what is trash talk, everything out of Republican mouths has been LIES for years!
