Canadian Filed For K-1 Fiance Visa & Need Help?
I'm a Canadian citizen and filed for a K-1 fiance visa to move to the USA to marry my American fiance. So far all we got from Immigration was a letter stating that they've recieved the forms and fee. I know some of what all is involved, but I'm not quite sure about where I'll have to go for my interview here in Canada when I do recieve the information package. From what I heard awhile ago, there is only 2 US Consulates in Canada that handle the fiance visas. One In Montreal, QC and The other in Vancouver, BC. I live in Toronto and I do know there is a US Consulate here. Does this Consulate handle the fiance visas? I really would like to know before I recieve the information pkg, that way I can start putting money aside for transportation if I have to go to Montreal.

The only consulates in Canada that process K-1 visas are Vancouver & Montreal. As you are in Toronto, you will have no choice but to go to Montreal for the interview, so start saving your pennies. Since you've only just submitted your application, you have at least a 4-6month wait before you will receive an interview date.

Mam there is a US Consulat in Toronto & in Ottawa. I am American immigrating to Ontario, my wife is Canadian. I put my wife through the immigration process in the states 3 years ago so now it's my turn. You have 6 months free travel visa before you need to worry. So you can go to the states right now if you want to.
