Yes sir,

I called my 2 Uncles that served and my brother that served in the Army National Guard ... they all served our country with Honor and Pride...

As for me ...I have served in the US Navy

I have served our country for 19 years, have seen a lot and been to many places ... I have served in the Persian Gulf twice, and been shot at off the coast of the former Yugoslavia...

Our country is a wonderful home and our veterans have made it a safer place to live…

I wish the all well.

Sorta, I suppose.

I have a few relatives who have died in the armed services the last few years. And several more that still serve.

We have always been a family of the military.

Those of us who can't/aren't part of the military take care of the families of those that do.

Today I took my brother's kids and my cousin’s kids out for lunch and a football game. Then we bought flowers and a couple of stuffies and took them out to their fathers' graves for a visit.

My other brother is still in Iraq, so, after I dropped off the kids, I went to his house and set up a video link for his girl friend and their kid. It was the first time he had seen live pics of his baby.

It isn't much, and I see the kids every day, and try to keep an eye on them.

I hope they know those of us not serving are trying to help them and show our appreciation the best we can.

shouldnt ti be veterans day 2006? since it is 2006 and today is veterans day... anyway besides that... i took my grandma to lunch. she served in the canadian navy in ww2. and my teacher i told him on thursday to have a happy veterans day. i might not have said thank you in those words but i meant it.

ya my grandpa was Korean Veteran and my dad was Vietnam Veteran

My dad served in Vietnam, and I thank him everyday, not just Veterans day.....God love them all.

I am a veteran, and I make a point to thank every person I know who served their country(young and old). I always do.

Yep and I presented arms in front of the monument.

"Present.....Arms !"

And I did it.

Because as a soldier, it is a honor for me to have been selected to present arms on that day in front of the monument.

I thanked thousands this past Tuesday when I voted! The biggest thanks of all.

My grandpa fought in Korea; I couldn't face him and tell him I didn't vote. He risked his life for my chance to vote.
