Is there anything that can be done for a broken toe?
A 300+ lb t.v. fell from about 6 inches or so and landed on my foot yesterday. It hit right above the big toe mostly on my foot. Now my foot is very sore right above the joint to the big toe, and my foot and big toe are swollen. Is there even anything that can be done for this if I were to go to the doctor? I was probably going to get it x-rayed today, and I was wondering if there were any potentially serious problems I should be worried about finding?

I just went through the same thing only I had broken two toes. The middle one and the one next to it. All that they can do is buddy tape a broken toe to the toes on either side of it. That will help to stabilize it and they will tell you to use crutches. They cannot cast a foot just because you broke the toes because the toes can still move in a cast.
Sorry but there isn't really much they can do for you. They will give you something for the pain though.

No there should be no major problems discoverd, but that sad thing is that there really isn't anything doctors can to for broken toes. Unlike fingers they can't put it in a splint. The best thing to do is to just stay off of your foot as much as possible. That is what the doctor will say as well. But as long as you do your best to stay off of it, no complications should occur. You should still go to the doctor though to make sure that the bone didn't brake up into your foot. Hope your foot gets better soon and I hope this helped you out.

My husband just broke his toe 2 weeks ago. There is nothing anyone can really do about this, but take pain medication, tape the toe next to it with the broken one, and I know this sounds sick, but it had to be done, drill a hole in the toe nail to relieve the pressure of the blood build up! The doctor can do it for you and it should feel much better. I hope you feel better!

Man, I hate to tell you that you should go to the doctor as it could be more than the toe thing. If you soak it in Epsom salts that is suppose to help.
I can't help thinking how pain full that must of been, was anyone laughing or were you alone. Sorry I have a warped sense of humor.
Best of luck w/that.

the answer is to tape your feet mutually. The extremely isnt a lot a well-being care specialist can do except that. perhaps you may favor to get an xray done to make confident that is purely your feet that are damaged.contained in the mean time stay off your feet and convey up them above your heart. perhaps you may want to attempt ice for twenty-four hours then warmth for convenience. Tylenol or Motrin?

theres not much to be done for a broken toe,, they could give you pain meds or whatever. i'd wonder about the rest of your foot though, that could be a bigger problem.
