My food dehydrator is difficult to clean...?
The multi-stacked unit heats to 140* and we use it to make beef and venison jerky, primarily. The marinade is hard to clean off after the meat is dehydrated,as it takes about 17 hrs and the tray weave is small.Any preventitive tips/suggestions to clean? Thanks.

Spray these with cooking spray prior to use or take the top rack out of your dishwasher and let it take care of these for you.

I have one like that. I HATE cleaning that thing. But the payoff is jerky so I guess its worth it. Heres what I do, I fill up a sink with hot hot water and Dawn dishwashing liquid, i find it cuts grease the best. I let the trays soak for a few hours or overnight, then i scrub them with one of those like floor scrubber things that looks like a big toothbrush without the long handle. I scrub it in a circular motion and the stuff comes right off.
