What's the best way to get better at doing PUSH-UPS?
I have to be able to do 15 full body pushups without a break for a physical fitness test. I have 6 months to get ready for it. I can only do maybe 1 or 2 full body, but can do about 10 leaning on my knees instead of feet. What exercises other than trying to do more pushups during my workouts do you recommend?

Keep doing push-ups. Do as many as you can full body & then do as many as you can using your knees. Do them every morning and every evening.
Push-up mostly an upper body skill, so any weight lifting you can do that works your chest and arm would be very helpful.
If you have weight issues, work on dropping weight. Less weight, less force needed to 'push-up'.
Work on making fitness a life style change and not just doing it to beat the test.
Good Luck!

Question for a question... what is the issue preventing you from doing more push-ups? Is it your back muscles or your pectoral muscles?
Try these:
Simply get in the push up position with your elbows straight and off your knees and see how long you can hold it. This will strengthen your back muscles. You can also place weights on your butt too... it'll make your muscles work harder
If you have access to free weights do the bench press, bicep curls and tricep extensions.
It sounds like you are military... be aware that you have a certain amount of flexability in where you place your hands; doing diamond push ups use different muscles than wide-armed pushups. Not totally different but no doubt you can feel the difference.
Good luck on your APFT, repetition is the key. Don't let exercise hold you back in getting promotions. You CAN do it.

interval training might help you...do some cardio..do 5-7 push ups...finish your cardio...do some more...go do some weights...do so more....I work in three sets of 5 to 8 pushups three times a week...got to give those muscles a chance to recover......by sheer repetition those arms will get stronger...then there is swimming or water exercise..absolutely great for the arms..did weights for my arms for years, but water ex gave me the definition in my arms that I never got from weights...

Try working on you upper body arm strength. You can lift weights. Do a little each day and you'll be able to do more and more as you work out.

15 pushups is extremely easy..i dont mean to critisize you but im 200 pounds and i can do about 40 easily.. but i guess u should eat healthier and get stronger, obviously.

if you have a staircase, use that to gradually work your way from the third or fourth step down to the floor. it will take years of practice, but your muscle develops at levels you will thank this idea for.

Do them against a wall (standing of course) to improve your arm strength and do what you can do a few times a day, always aiming to do one more...;

I gotta do this too... except I need to do 35.
The best thing to do is practice...practice...PRACTICE!
