Wrist pain.?
A year ago I began treatment for a ganglion cyst in my wrist joint. It was surgically removed and the problem was resolved.
In my same wrist however I have developed more pain. This time it is located along the outside of my hand (down the side where my pinky finger is) and I have a lump at the bottom of my palm.
I kind of suspect this is from my computer usage, but i dont know why i would have it just on one wrist. I use a laptop so I dont use a mouse.
Im a little hesitant to go to my doctor, I don't want him to think i am a hypchondriac... lol Any idea of what this pain is is from?
It's getting so bad that I am not able to use my computer (which i need for school purposes), i cannot chrochet, or do many of my favorite hobbies (i like to use my hands).
Any advice is great!
I should also add that this is not pain like my prior pain was when i had surgery. It is in a different part of my hand, etc.

I doubt your doctor will think you are a hypochondriac. Especially since you had prior problems and surgery. Can those types of cysts return? What about carpel tunnel syndrome? Don't suffer, go back to the doctor.

it has to be carpal tunnel, I had the exact same issue about 2 years ago, a cyst was removed, then I started having the pain along with a lump but not on my hand but rather my wrist and my index finger and thumb along with my right arm all the way up to my shoulder sometimes. This is carpal, and you dont have to use a mouse. Are you right handed? anyway, I would go see the doctor, they can do a nerve related test and it will determine the issue.
Take care of yourself, Teri
