What if the 2008 US Presidential Election be like if it is between Jeb Bush and Hilliary Clinton?

It will be a joke, just like the last 2. Why do the 2 parties always choose the worst possible person from their party to be the standard bearer?

If the last few election cycles are any indication, 2008 will be filled with negativity and hubris from both sides. We deserve better...

I, for one, am tired of voting AGAINST candidates. It would be nice to have a candidate I would actually feel comfortable voting FOR.

Given these 2 choices, I would expect a strong 3rd party showing.

I think you're right, that it would be a hard fought and close election. Both candidates carry certain negatives. I think many people simply do not want to see another Bush in the White House, no matter what. And many voters, especially men, hate Hillary with a passion, even though she's a lot more centrist than some people believe. Also, the GOP will attack Sen. Clinton, rightly or wrongly, with her past... Whitewater, her cattle futures, Vince Foster's suicide, etc. I don't think either will ultimately run, although as a Democrat, I would support Hillary Clinton.

That is like asking which you would want to pick up off the sidewalk, a ten dollar bill or a dog turd... Hillary couldn't make any progress as first lady, Slick was a laughing stock and she no better. New York is no better off with her as a senator (she never lived there for real, so she has no idea what New Yorkers want). Look at all the factories, jobs and dropping population in NY state... Jeb on the other hand, seems to have improved things in FL as far as crime and managment of a number of distasters. He has also done a pretty good job in reforming the voting system after the 2000 debacle.

Kerry-Gore or Gore-Kerry Presidency

Seriously? Not a chance. As much as Kerry has screwed up and Gore has turned out to defeat himself worse than Howard Dean. Gore is a laughing stock. He is the Dan Quayle of the Democrats.

As for Clinton/Bush....wow, I'd be glued to the TV. I like Jeb but I think it's time for a change from the Bush House. Too polarizing. Clinton...1st, Will not get the nomination, 2nd Too polarizing also and wouldn't be able to pull it off.

I'm curious who the front runner for the Republicans will be.

I do not think Hillary Clinton will get the nomination, but if she does, Jeb Bush will run on the Republican side. It will be very close, and I think that Clinton will win on a re-count. This is how close it will be. However, she will only be president for one term.

Actually, I think that a Kerry-Gore or Gore-Kerry Presidency will be what we mhave next. There is no other Republicans that will be able to beat them.

Jeb Bush isn't going to run for President. He said it himself. Besides, I thought the last presidential election was the most important in the Nation's history. Is this one gonna top it? Who knows, the Iraq situation might get taken care of in the next 2 years and it probably won't even be an issue in the race.

It would not matter at this point if Jeb was the most intelligent, best leader the world could ask for. He would be totally out of luck because of the legacy of his older brother. The best he can hope for in the next election is a spot as Vice President. I don't think anyone in his/her right mind would vote for anyone with the last name "Bush."

I need some serious help: I'm a native Floridian yet a loyal Democrat. I'd probably pick Hillary,m though, b/c I'm *really* tired of Gov. Bush's "A+ Plan" for education (ask someone who lives in Florida).

I just can't see that happenning. I think 2 Bushes is all our country can handle. Why does it have to come down to 2 parties - one against the other on two extremes??? I don't consider myself to be of either party's philosophy. I have heard some good things about Vernon Robinson, but what chance does HE have?

I'd vote for anybody over Hilliary Clinton.
