Ok,I just rid of them out of my house so I know what you're going through. You're going to itch for awhile after using the cream because your body is still responding to the dead mites and stuff so that normal. I used that and sprayed my whole house(couch, floors, ect) with that lice killing spray.I broke again behind my legs.I caught scabies from the kid I babysit for and she told me how she bought dermisil S and it worked really good. I bought the the liquid stuff to put in the bath and on clothes, the cream, and the spray stuff to spray the house again. After the first night, I COULD SLEEP AGAIN. It was great. It's rather pricey and it all smells like crap(it's hard to get the smell out of your clothes for awhile) but it works.

Many people don't know that scabies and dog mange are pretty much the same thing. I got scabies from my dog! It was a nightmare. There is no itching like it. I tried everything. I ended up spraying the whole house with Raid. I even dabbed a little bit of it on the spots on me and the dog. It was the only thing that worked. I had tried all the prescription meds. I am certainly not recommending it, just letting you know how bad it was for me to get rid of.

Elimite or another cream with permethrin is the only thing I know of that will kill the mites that cause scabies. When you use it, you MUST use it over your entire body. You must also wash your bed linen daily in hot water (preferably with bleach) to kill the ones there. Be sure to vacuum your upholstered furniture, and any carpet, and throw the bag away afterward. You'll need to do this for at least three days in a row to be able to affect the population of mites.

Has she been treated? Hopefully, she has been. I know from experience that even after treatment, you can continue to itch for a few weeks. Untreated scabies is pretty easily spread.

the stuff the dr gave you is prolly the best, maybe a nix (lice treatment) to get rid of the scabies, benadryl will help with the itching, talk to your doc though

Call your doctor and tell him the prescription didn't work and see if he can prescribe something more effective instead of taking non-doctor's advice on the internet.
