Lost wedding ring?
My husband lost his wedding ring within one month of getting married (or wedding date was Sept 2, 2006). It's pretty upsetting because the ring was sized perfectly yet he claims it fell off. Should I buy him a replacement for christmas or expect him to replace it himself?
It is important to me that he wears a ring. I spent a lot of time finding a place that sold rings identical to the ones my parents have. They no longer wear their rings and it really bothers me. I've always loved their rings. The stupid part is I bought him a ring a few years ago, it's just a regular men's diamond ring and he never had it sized. It's WAY big on him and he's never dropped or lost it.

He should replace it. By you giving him another it would seem like teirtory marking. By him replacing it, it shows that yes he does care. Also this quickly in the marriage, he probaly wasn't used to wearing a ring. When I first got married, I felt the ring all the time. 12 years later, never know it's there.

Dont make a big deal out of this. For many men the ring is really not as important to them as it is to women. I lost mine while surfing and yes my wife was on the beach with me at the time. I tried to find it with a mask but to no avail.

I lost my wedding ringa few months after getting married and I can only assume it fell off b/c one minute I had it in and the next thing I realized, it was gone. It was inscribed and everything.
I ordered myself another one after a couple of months of trying to find it. You sound as if don't believe it fell off.......is there more to this story?
Believe him and that it fell off unless there is something you are not saying and give it a couple of month to see if it gets found--put an ad in the paper and offer a reward.....then, if he can't find itm get him a replacement for Valentine's Day.

I actually lost mine about a 2 weeks after we got married. It was cold outside and I was carrying things in and it was sized right for me and it slipped off my finger. Well me and wife looked for it for like a week and figured it was gone. So I bought a new ring and about 4 months later I ended up finding my old weding ring in the grass where our vehicle was parked.

In case it was knocked to the floor, take a flashlight, turn it on, place it on the floor and slowly revolve it so that you can see in all the dark corners. Metal is usually pretty easy to spot. Do it in every room. Check pockets of all the clothes you might have been wearing. Check the washing machine. Do your hand sinks all have strainers in them? If not and you think there's any way it could have fallen down the drain, there's a possibility it could be caught in the p trap.

Some men just don't like to wear rings. I am one.

Let him replace it. He's the one who lost it in the first place.

How important is it to you for him to wear it? If it's really important to you, then replace it. He lost it, it's been known to happen. Get him another and tell him not to lose it. If he loses ANOTHER one, I think it's his responsibility to get a replacement.

why did it fall off if it was perfectly sized? that means he took it off and then lost it. i would find out why he took it off before i go anywhere to buy him a new one. (and i would make him pay for it.)
