I have cat urine smell really really bad in a back bedroom( i know its gross)?

I always used straight white vinegar...on everything from carpet to backpacks. But here's a website that gives a few more ideas...

Vinegar and Baking Soda - First soak up as much of the urine as you can, then soak the area with a mixture of 1/3 cup of white vinegar with 2/3 cup of water and a little soap. With a clean rag, soak up any excess liquid pressing firmly and repeatedly until dry. Repeat this process using fresh water, and then use another rag to soak up the remaining liquid. After this, sprinkle some baking soda on the area and vaccuum up in 24 hours.

Peroxide - Some people claim peroxide works well in cleaning up cat urine and stains, though this can be tricky on surfaces which might discolor easily. Supposedly, peroxide breaks down the components in the cat urine which cause stains and odor. Pour a small amount directly on the area and allow to dry. Then rinse with warm water and soak up with a rag or paper towel.

Listerine Mouthwash - A number of people claim this helps eliminate cat urine odors when a few drops are added to your water & vinegar solution, or when mixed with a peroxide solution. It can also be mixed with just hot water and dabbed on the area. Most likely this is because of the amount of alcohol in Listerine. "

You can scrub with bleach (diluted in water of course).

You can try sprinkling drywall dust and sawdust on the floor and let it sit for a few days (that works well on dog urine)

But honestly, you can try about everything, even the expensive commercial cleaning solutions, and cat urine odor will come back.

The only way to kill it completely (well first try my 2 suggestions) is to paint the floor with an oil base paint. If it is hard wood floor, coat it with polyurethane.

I have battled this problem for years...there is always a renter that sneaks in a cat...(I would rather have a 180 lb. Great Dane to clean up after than 1 cat that sprays).

Get your carpets wiped clean by utilising an outstanding carpet cleanser. commercial cleaners have products which will get rid of spots and odors. the undertaking is, the carpet pad is likewise in touch. enable them to properly known once you call them what your undertaking is. i does not ask your guy over till I had a minimum of tried to mitigate the undertaking. i'm so sorry on your cat having been clinically determined with maximum cancers. reliable success.

Cat urine is a hard one but doable. However, urine-off really works as advertised but it does cost more than similar stuff.

the floors... well... if they are wood, the urine has soaked into the wood. i would suggest trying to clean it with bleach first.... if that does not work, then you need to replace the wood boards. baking soda will merely mask the odor of cat urine.

Vinegar or lemon juice works. The lemon juice is also supposed to deter the cat from peeing there again. It worked for me!

I have the same problem so i went to the vet and they said get the stuff called "piss off" im serious thats what it is called i dont know where your from but its sold in australia.
