A night out is always a good idea, like dinner gift certificates or movie gift certificates. It works as an excuse to get a couple out of the house if they normally stay home and it works if they loves going out as a treat from you. With gift certificates they're able to choose something that they'll both like. Even if $50 won't cover a full meal it's still thoughtful and will at least cover half of teh food and/or drinks.

If you live near a winery or somewhere that has wine tasting, that's also a good idea or if there is soemthign that they both like to do together like a sport or activitiy, find a gift certificate related to that.

I'm having problems with your question. Nothing I can think of for both of them is under the $50 mark. If you are handy with tools you could make them a cabinet that would hold plates, trophies, nick knacks on display but it's a bit late to get it done for Christmas. Another option would be to get them a good bottle of wine, possibly with cheese or chocolates. Of course you would need to be old enough to buy alcohol and there would have to be no religious or dietic objections. The easiest option would be to give them a gift certificate usable at several different restaurants so that they could go out for a special meal. This unfortunately doesn't last.

Hope I've been of some help.

Get gift movie tickets for their local theater; add popcorn and candy in a gift basket. Or maybe a box with favorite snacks or wine? Then add a self-made coupon book for things you could do for them (errands, cleaning, etc.)

hmmmm...if you are seriousley out of ideas try a gift card to a movie, dinner and/or a store like circut city or any store that they like to shop at and could buy something that they both could enjoy. for example my mom and dad like to work out in the yard and make the lanscaping look pretty so maybee lowes or somewere would be good or a garden store. It depends on what they like
